CHARLOTTE — One day after pulling off a trio of aggressive trades, the Charlotte Hornets have officially waived veterans Seth Curry, KJ Simpson, and Damion Baugh, sources tell ESPN.

The move clears three roster spots ahead of Summer League evaluations and signals the Hornets’ full pivot toward youth and long-term roster flexibility.

Curry, 34, appeared in just 19 games for Charlotte last season, while rookies KJ Simpson and Damion Baugh spent most of their time with the Greensboro Swarm.

The decision aligns with the front office’s clear vision to reset the roster and build around draft capital and developmental prospects. The Hornets seem to be determined to be looking towards something as the draft is happeneing RIGHT NOW.
